Nice lamp it doesn't have a remote you use a foot botton to turn on and off
This lamp has one major design flaw. (The pictures are clearly taken without a light-bulb installed). Even the shortest of light-bulbs extends beyond the very small and short shade. So if you're over approx. 5'9" or taller, you're blinded by the naked and constantly exposed bulb. I put a different shade on it so I'm keeping it; it's a sturdy lamp otherwise.
Packing was sturdy, and the item was in perfect condition upon arrival.

Light looks great, and works exactly as it's supposed to.
Customer service was great. We received a light that had the wire come out the bottom of the pole instead of the side, like it's supposed to. Customer service got right back to us and provided us with a correctly made lamp.
